I’ve been working with Vietnamese affiliate teams since early 2025. Not based there full time but I travel to Ho Chi Minh two or three times a year and work remotely with people in Hanoi and Da Nang the rest of the time.

The internet situation in Vietnam is different from Russia or China but it’s still restrictive in ways that directly affect anyone doing ecommerce or affiliate marketing there.

Vietnam doesn’t block Facebook or YouTube outright, which is what most people assume when they hear “internet censorship.” What they do is more targeted. Political content gets blocked, independent news sites get blocked, Telegram got banned in mid 2025 after the government claimed 68% of Vietnamese channels were being used for illegal activity.

Steam got blocked in May 2024 because Valve didn’t comply with local licensing rules. And the 2018 cybersecurity law requires foreign tech companies to store Vietnamese user data on local servers which gives the government access to basically everything.

But the bigger issue for anyone doing business there isn’t the blocks themselves. It’s that Vietnamese ISPs, most of which are state-owned or military-owned like VNPT and Viettel, monitor traffic and can throttle or flag connections that look like circumvention tools.

Three of the five undersea cables were damaged for most of 2024 and into 2025 which made international connections slow and unreliable on top of everything else. Antidetect browsers in Vietnam solve a lot of this because the traffic looks like normal HTTPS, not a VPN tunnel.

1. 1Browser – Best Overall Antidetect Browser for Vietnam

This is the one I set up for every Vietnamese team I work with. 1Browser is Chromium-based, looks and works exactly like Chrome. Each profile gets its own fingerprint, cookies, proxy, timezone, language.

The proxies come included on the free plan, five countries including the US and Germany plus 500 MB datacenter. I ran all of them through PixelScan and BrowserLeaks and everything came back clean.

For Vietnamese users the main selling point is simplicity. Most of the affiliate teams I work with don’t have a technical person configuring proxies. They need something they can download, open, and start using. 1Browser does that. Ten free profiles, no card, no external proxy needed.

The team I work with in HCMC has people scattered everywhere, one guy works from a coworking in District 1, another one literally works from Highlands Coffee in Thao Dien most days, and they needed to share browser sessions without emailing config files back and forth.

Gologin lets you start a profile on one machine and open it on another and everything is just there. The Orbita engine is solid, didn’t get flags on Shopee or Facebook during the month I tested it. The interface is in Vietnamese which matters because half the team I mentioned doesn’t read English beyond basic level.

The proxy pool killed it for me though. It’s shared. Between every user on the platform. I set up four profiles for four different Shopee stores and within three days I noticed two of them had been assigned the same IP that a third profile had used the day before.

Here’s the thing though. The paid plans are expensive. $89/mo for 100 profiles. A team I know in District 7 was running Dolphin for all their Facebook campaigns and it worked great for that. Then they started expanding into Shopee multi-store and suddenly they needed proxies configured for each new store profile individually and nobody on the team wanted to do it.

They ended up keeping Dolphin for the Facebook side and moving all the Shopee stuff to 1Browser because the proxies are just already there and you don’t have to think about it. Two tools for two jobs. Not ideal but that’s what they landed on and honestly it makes sense given how different the workflows are.

4. AdsPower

Big in Vietnamese ecommerce circles, especially among people running multiple Shopee and Lazada stores. Two browser engines, Sun and Flower.

The fingerprint quality is the best I’ve tested alongside 1Browser. But the price puts it out of range for most individual sellers and small teams in Vietnam.

I tested it for a couple weeks. Fingerprint consistency was good. No built-in proxy. The interface is English only which limits adoption for Vietnamese teams that don’t read English comfortably.

7. Octo Browser

No free plan, starts at €29/mo. Kernel-level fingerprint management that modifies Chromium at the engine level rather than layering on top. Cookie import from regular Chrome works well.

The issue for Vietnam specifically is no built-in proxy and I’ve heard from a couple teams in HCMC that the latency through third-party proxies from Vietnam to Octo’s infrastructure was higher than expected. Worth testing but not my first recommendation.

8. Undetectable
