Script 1browser directly

Why a local API
Most automation platforms make you pay per API call against their cloud. 1browser's API runs on your machine, talks straight to your own browser instance over the Chrome DevTools Protocol, and is included on every plan — rate-limited only to the profile count your plan already gives you. No farming, no surprise metering.
Quick start
No token needed for local automation — the SDK discovers your native 1browser install and handles sign-in for you. Or point an AI coding agent (Claude Code, Cursor) at the repo and it scaffolds this for you in one shot.
// npm install (scaffolded automatically, or: npm install /path/to/1browser)
const {OneBrowser, resolveConfiguration} = require('@1browser/sdk');
const config = await resolveConfiguration({
applicationId: 'client-a', options: {}, env: process.env,
});
const client = await OneBrowser.launch(config);
await client.ensureAuthenticated({
onInteractiveLogin() { /* opens native login UI once */ },
});
// create a persistent profile and set a proxy
const {profiles} = await client.ensureProfiles({count: 1, namePrefix: 'client-a'});
const results = await client.runForProfiles({
profiles,
task: async ({page}) => {
await page.goto('https://example.com');
return {url: page.url()};
},
});Prefer raw CDP? A send() escape hatch is included for anything not yet wrapped by the SDK.
What you can automate
Method reference at a glance
- Browser.createProfileProfiles
- Browser.createWindowForProfileProfiles
- Browser.getProfilesProfiles
- Browser.setFingerprintSettingFingerprint
- Browser.generateFingerprintFingerprint
- Browser.setProxySettingsProxy
- Browser.getAuthStateAuth
- Browser.signin / signup / verify / logoutAuth

Fair use, built in
The API is rate-limited to the profile count already included in your plan — you can't create more profiles through the API than your dashboard allows. It's automation without a loophole, not automation with a leash.
Not sure which integration you need?
Two ways to automate 1browser: write your own scripts, or let an AI agent drive the browser for you.

Writing your own scripts
You control the logic. Use the raw API directly with Puppeteer — this page.

Using an AI coding agent
Claude Code, Cursor, or another MCP client should drive the browser for you.
